Traditional, Budrio-style, Italian-style, classic, sweet potato, submarine, Donati-style. Call them what you will, these are historically the mainstream ocarinas, since the mid 19th Century. They have an oblong shape, and generally have a flute-like in-line fingering. Popular in Europe, North and South America, and Japan, they are a part of musical culture. This forum is for discussions pertaining to this specific form of globe flute, as opposed to the English-system, and various regional globe flutes.
