Is it true that in a 12 holes Ocarina the place of the holes dont matter? that what makes the difference in sound is only the size of the Ocarina?
Thanks

Is it true that in a 12 holes Ocarina the place of the holes dont matter? that what makes the difference in sound is only the size of the Ocarina? By sound, do you mean how low or high an oc is? The ocarina will be lower as its size increases. The size of the sound hole also changes the pitch of an oc. If it is made bigger, it will raise the pitch. Finger hole positioning doesn't really matter, as long as they are comfortable. The exception to this is that the thumb holes should be positioned as far away from the sound hole as possible...too close will weaken the high notes.
